Amboli is one of the monsoon destinations of Maharashtra. Amboli village is a quiet place. Jungle in here becomes active at night. Most of reptiles and Amphibians are active at night. You should be very careful in night trail as its pitch-dark and only TORCH is your source of good sight.

We started our night trail from Botanical Garden at 6.00 pm in a decent day light. While searching for reptiles and amphibians we didn’t realized when it turned dark.
You can’t see them without light but

This is Deccan Banded Gecko
This Gecko has really nice looking pattern and eyes.
This is Amboli Frog, yes it’s his name
Amboli Frogs make really a loud sounds(calls) during night.
This is Malabar Gliding Frog – Baby (Rhacophorus malabaricus)

These are one of the main attractions of amboli. These frogs also make loud mating calls in the night. Female Gliding frog is large in size than Male Gliding frog.
